Shah’s Journey is a personal blog focused on Japan, travel, media, and the experiences that shape us.
I’m a UK-qualified solicitor, but before that, I spent six years living in Japan, working as an English teacher. Like many people, Japan always felt like a distant dream — something I admired but wasn’t sure I would ever fully experience. At some point, I realised that if I didn’t take the opportunity then, the “right time” might never come. So I went.
Those six years shaped a lot of who I am today. They gave me a deeper appreciation for Japanese culture, everyday life, language, food, and the small details that make the experience so unique.
Shah’s Journey began as a way to document those experiences, but it has grown into something more. It’s now a space where I can reflect on Japan, explore my interests in Japanese media, travel, and photography, and share my perspective with others who have a similar curiosity and appreciation for the culture.
This si0te is, above all, a place to share that journey — with like-minded people who feel the same connection to Japan.
